If you have symptoms of COVID-19
If you’ve developed a new continuous cough and/or a fever/high temperature in the last 7 days, stay at home for 7 days from the start of your symptoms even if you think your symptoms are mild. Do not go to your GP pharmacy or hospital.
If your child is under the age of 12, then please call the practice on 01355 573790,
All other patients should contact 111
You should phone 111 if:
- your symptoms worsen during home isolation, especially if you’re in a high or extremely high risk group
- breathlessness develops or worsens, particularly if you’re in a high or extremely high risk group
- your symptoms haven’t improved in 7 days
If you have a medical emergency, phone 999 and tell them you have COVID-19 symptoms.

During the current Covid-19 pandemic our GPs may require (in certain circumstances) to carry out video consultations.
You will be advised if this is the case and be given a specific time for this consultation to take place.

Consultation is by appointment:
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.45pm
The Practice also operates an Extended Hours Service where the GPs may contact patients to carry out telephone consultations until 7pm some evenings.
If you require medical assistance/advise call 01355 573790. You will be assessed by a clinician who will contact you, if required, to discuss further your treatment.
On the day appointments are available to any patient if clinically required.
Please remember to cancel any appointment you cannot keep.
One appointment is for one patient only.
If you have a number of problems a double appointment may be a good idea.

Home Visits
If you are too ill or frail to attend the Surgery and require a home visit, please telephone before 10.00am. The Receptionist will require some details to allow the doctor to assess the urgency of the visit. Please help the Receptionist to help you.
Emergencies Outwith Surgery Hours
The NHS Lanarkshire Out Of Hours (OOH) Service provides out-of-hours cover for our patients. In case of genuine emergency which cannot wait until the next working day please telephone NHS 24 in the first instance on 111 and your call will be passed to OOH Service if appropriate. NHS 24 can also be accessed via www.nhs24.scot.
Pharmacist Services
Your local Pharmacist can give you confidential advice and treatment if needed for a number of common illness without the need for an appointment with your GP. Below is a list of the conditions that your pharmacist can help you with:
- Coughs, colds and sore throats.
- Athletes’ foot.
- Head lice
- Cold sores
- Colic
- Urine infections
- Minor skin conditions and acne.
- Styes and minor eye infections
- Pain, including backache.
- Diarrhoea / constipation.
- Thrush
Pharmacists provide many other services including:
- NHS emergency hormonal contraception.
- NHS Smoking cessation support
- Advice on travel injection requirements & supply of malaria prevention.
